I am going to assume that since you are here, you have done the research to make sure the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier is right for you.

If you have not done any research and just saw this cute little furball that you need to have, stop and immediately go to the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier Club's website and the AKC's page on Wheaten Terriers. There is a lot of research, but it is definitely important. Learn all you can about the dog's temperament, health problems, activity level, grooming needs, etc... You don't need to be an expert, but do it to make sure the dog will suit you and your lifestyle for the next 12-15+ years. Once you have done the research and are certain a Wheaten is for you, you can move on to the next step. 

 

Yes, they're cute and you want to have one now, but do not rush into a dog. They are a lot of work and will hopefully be with you for a long time. Take the time to ensure you find a happy and healthy puppy that suits your life.

If you are looking for a puppy, know we are not Banana Repawblic. You cannot call us or order a puppy online and have it in three to five business days. We encourage you to definitely not buy a dog commercially. It is a breeding ground (pun intended) for puppy mill activity. When you buy a dog that comes from a commercial breeder, you just never know so do not do it! If you're not sure, the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier Club of America website has a great guide on this.
